Intrasource on display at the Expo
Intrasource attended the 2009 East Yorkshire Business Expo, held at Beverley Racecourse yesterday.
The new Intrasource stand was manned by Cheryl and James, and the Managing Director of Intrasource, Claire Jacques was also present at the Expo.
Claire is also well known by many attendees through her position as the local BNI Membership Co-ordinator and so her progress around the Expo was slowed considerably by meeting so many friends and colleagues at the other exhibitors' stands.
The Expo provided Intrasource with a great opportunity to meet with many local Yorkshire businesses visiting the popular business-to-business event, which is now in its second year.
Intrasource staff were also able to meet with many of the other local exhibitors as well as take part in the speed networking sessions that are held throughout the day at the Expo.
James commented, "Conversations I had with visitors to the Intrasource stand indicated that despite the impact of the recession business is remaining strong in the Hull and East Yorkshire region and the event certainly had a very positive atmosphere. Information about Intrasource's remote IT support services was well received and there was a good level of interest at our stand throughout the whole day."
The guest speaker at the Expo was Deirdre Bounds, who is one of the UK's top female entrepreneurs, going from start-up to exit in 10 years. She set up the ethical travel company i-to-i.com, which became the world's largest gap year company. She is a former stand-up comedienne, world backpacker, English teacher, outback bus driver and mum of two and clearly impressed many of the attendees.
James said, "The guest speaker, Deidre Bounds gave a motivating talk that for me was a particular highlight of the day and it was enjoyed by both visitors and exhibitors alike."
Intrasource supports not only blue-chip organisations such as Reckitt Benckiser and Syngenta but also a number of smaller businesses such as firms of solicitors or accountants, many of whom were at the Expo yesterday.
